Robert Taliaferro

Robert Taliaferro was born about 1687 in Virginia. His parents were Robert Taliaferro and Sarah Catlett.

He married Margaret French. She was the daughter of Hugh French. 

Margaret and Robert's children may have included:

Ann Taliaferro,
Elizabeth Taliaferro (1710, married Roger Madison),
Samuel Taliaferro (1717), and
Robert Taliaferro (1720).

Margaret died in 1724.

His second wife was Ann Pittman.

Ann and Robert's children may have included:

Sarah Taliaferro (1730, married John Lewis), and
Margaret Taliaferro (1732, married Hiram Gaines).

part of a tract formerly granted 17 Mar. 1673/3 to Robert Taliaferro, father of the within named Robert of 739 acres, by the river side near the mouth of a gut where the said Short now lives, in sight of a plantation called Short's Quarter
witnessed by Ja. Alderson, Robert Jones, Robert Kay.
Ack. by Robert Taliaferro and Margt. Taliaferro relinquished her right by Richard Bucknerher attorney.

in Essex County Court, Robert Taliaferro, III (grandson of Robert Taliaferro, I, and Katherine, his wife) sold to Augustine Smith 200 acres of land "part of 600 acres formerly granted to Mr. Charles Grymes September 4, 1654 and by his last will and testament bequeathed to Katherine Dedman, grandmother of the said Robert Taliaferro
